Here’s my Professor Ranking List for the TESOL program. Since many courses rotate between different professors, I highly recommend choosing professors rather than specific courses.
Recommended Professors:
Reannah Sartoris – Took two courses with her, both graded above 90. She is one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable professors in the program. She has years of experience as a teacher and instructional coach in school districts and has been an adjunct professor at WU for many years.
Donna Kjellander – A kind and friendly older professor. Grades fairly and often lets class out early.
Rabab Atwi – Fair grading and solid teaching. Just be mindful of AI-generated content—she has strict policies.
Katherine Grisham – Decent grading and competent teaching.
Professors to Avoid:
Armando Delfino – Absolutely avoid. His grading is ridiculously low (60s-70s range), and his teaching is weak. He just reads off PowerPoint slides, and his English isn’t fluent.
Thomas Tischler – Very demanding with strict grading. However, he is knowledgeable and responsible.
For one-credit internship courses, don’t stress too much—they don’t count toward GPA, and a pass is all you need.
