How Day1 CPT students look for a job?

Hi everyone! I’m a Master’s student in Management & Data Analytics in the U.S., with a background in Corporate Finance and Civil Engineering. I’m actively looking for a paid internship or job opportunity (CPT eligible) in Financial Analysis, Business Intelligence, FP&A, or Data-Driven Strategy.

As many students I guess, I have a good background, but I don’t know how to start looking for a possition in NOVA, someone who would be able to give me a feedback?

Any leads, referrals, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve heard some of the schools, like westcliff, has a career center. some company’s HR will contact their staff and put ads out there. if you keep close relationship with the staff there, you may get early bird info

For NOVA, I’d recommend:

:one: University Career Center – Check for CPT-friendly postings and networking events.

:two: LinkedIn & Alumni Networks – Connect with professionals in your field and attend local finance/analytics meetups.

:three: Job Boards – Look on LinkedIn, Handshake, and Indeed for CPT-friendly roles.

:four: Referrals – Happy to connect you if you share your resume!
