I’m considering Day1CPT colleges as I didn’t get selected for this year’s H1b lottery and my OPT is expiring soon - got Bachelor’s in the field I’m currently working in, so the Day1CPT will be my first master’s degree (or not if I decide not to finish the program). As of now, I’m thinking of working just for another year with Day1CPT and going back home, so any bad implications on future H1b or green card stuffs is not a issue here.
Instead, it’s possible that I might pursue my career in academia, meaning I could apply for MS or PhD in the after spending some years at home country – would the fact that I have attended Day1CPT college with low GPAs (I got superb GPAs for my Bachelor’s but I really don’t think I can focus on studying while working full time and taking care of other duties) have adverse impact on graduate admissions? Or would they not care if I explain those were just to maintain visa status?
