Is Day 1 CPT Risky for Future H-1B or Green Card Applications?

Hey everyone, I’ve been researching Day 1 CPT universities, but I’ve heard mixed opinions about how it affects H-1B and Green Card applications in the future. Some say USCIS flags students who use Day 1 CPT, while others say it’s completely legal as long as the work is related to the program.

If anyone has already transitioned from Day 1 CPT to H-1B (or even PERM for a Green Card), could you share your experience? Did you face any RFEs or issues? Any tips on choosing the right university to minimize risk?

It depends, great university that has the reputation to USCIS and also its own system to deal with RFE tends to stand out such as Westclif University, Harrisburg, NEC.
This video will be helpful.

There is no direct connection between two. CPT is the right that USCIS provide to F1 students. It is more related to other things like if you attend classes on time, finish hw or not, etc.
