Anyone regret enrolling in a Day 1 CPT school? Why?

Yes, I rushed into a Day 1 CPT school without fully researching it. The workload was heavier than I expected, and the support from the DSO office was minimal. I also didn’t realize how it might affect future visa applications. If I could do it again, I’d choose a school with better accreditation and clearer guidance.

I don’t regret enrolling in a Day 1 CPT school. It really depends on your situation. If you need to maintain your work status and can handle the academic/workload balance, it’s a good option. But you have to stay on top of compliance and choose a reputable school.

Is it helpful to consult with an agent? GoElite contacted me, but I haven’t spoken with them. Has anyone worked with them and found it beneficial?

Not full regret, but definitely had mixed feelings.

The school helped me stay in status and keep working, which was the main goal — but academically, it didn’t feel very rigorous. Also had to be extra careful with paperwork, since I knew USCIS might look closer later.

If I could go back, I’d research schools more carefully — some have a better reputation and support system than others.

I regret spending so much money maintain my status but what else can I do loll don’t qualify for o1, niw, l1 and the green card waiting is just so longgg
