Hello Everyone, Currently i stay in LA and planning to get into Humphreys for Day1 CPT program , i choose Humphreys due to its low fees compared to other options like Westcliff and CIAMS, has anyone hads experience in travelling from LA to stockton for classes one per semester. how feasible it is , Please suggest me.
The best way I believe is to rent a car and drive to Stockton or fly to Sacramento and rent a car there.
Travel-wise, LA to Stockton is doable, but not exactly easy. It’s about a 5–6 hour drive one way, so unless you fly into Sacramento and rent a car, it can be exhausting. A few people I know try to group up and drive or split hotel/Airbnb costs during the class weekend.
You’re not alone — quite a few LA-based students have looked into Humphreys for the same reason: budget-friendly and very hands-off in terms of class frequency.
A few quick thoughts:
Travel: Stockton is a trek from LA (about 5–6 hours by car, depending on traffic and caffeine levels ). Some students batch their travel with a weekend visit or take the Amtrak for a more relaxed ride.
Attendance: Since it’s just once per semester in person, many find it doable — but definitely plan ahead to avoid last-minute scramble (especially if you’re working full-time).
Comparison: Westcliff and CIAM offer more local access if you’re trying to minimize travel entirely, but Humphreys does win on price and simplicity for some folks.
Bottom line: It’s feasible, but not spontaneous — think of it as a quick “mini trip” every few months that helps you stay compliant.
Hope that helps, and feel free to browse around — lots of experiences shared in this forum!

Thank you Jill for the response.
The LA > Stockton dirve takes about the same time as LA > Bay Area
LOL, that’s a long drive — you must be exhausted. I felt totally drained after spending the weekend on-site at Westcliff.
