Rounds of interviews?

I’m a new grad. wondering in the US, how many rounds of interviews you’ll have to go through to land a job? and what are they usually?

Around 3-4 rounds?? One of my friends went through 4 rounds of interview but got rejected last round :frowning:

It really depends on the company, but 3 rounds is pretty typical. Usually HR, then the manager, and maybe a final team round. It sounds like a lot, but you’ll be fine. Just go for it.

I agree that it depends on the company and even the industry. I’ve heard huge variations from 1-8 rounds with some spanning months, although it seems long interview processes are mostly at tech companies.

I’ve experienced huge variation in terms of the time it takes between rounds too. Some companies take almost a month to decide if you even move to the next round, while some let you know within a week and schedule it very soon after. So even if a company has fewer rounds, doesn’t necessarily mean the process will move faster.

Would love to hear more anecdotes to have a better idea of the timeline people have seen!
