A good friend of mine just moved to Seattle and is hoping to start a Day 1 CPT program soon. She’s trying to find schools that are either in Seattle or offer flexible hybrid formats that allow her to stay based there without having to fly out every weekend.
She’s mostly looking for:
• Accredited programs with solid CPT structure
• Not too aggressive on travel requirements
• Ideally in tech/business/data fields
• Good SEVP standing (nothing sketchy)
I know most of the common CPT schools are in places like California, New York, or the Midwest… but has anyone here studied in or near Washington State? Or found a remote-friendly school that works well from Seattle?

You could consider universities in Northern California — both Westcliff and Sofia are accredited. Westcliff only requires one onsite visit per semester, while Sofia needs one every month.
So Westcliff might be a better fit for you.
I’m in Seattle too and went through something similar earlier this year.
It’s kinda tough because there aren’t many CPT schools directly based here, but there are a few hybrid options that work without crazy travel. One I looked into was Monroe College — they let you fly in just once a semester and are pretty structured on CPT. I also know people doing Westcliff while living here.
If she’s working in tech/data already, schools usually give CPT aligned with that field — but I’d still ask for a sample course list and CPT letter to be safe.
