For those familiar with Day 1 CPT programs—what would be a better choice: an MBA or a Master’s degree ? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.

It really depends on the type of job you have (or plan to have) and what your previous master’s degree was.
If you’re applying for a second master’s at a Day 1 CPT school, it should be different from your previous degree but still related to your current or future job. (If it’s your first master’s, then you can choose based on your job or career goals.)
For example, our consultants often recommend students with an MS in Computer Science (MSCS) who are working as software engineers to consider programs like MSIT, MSDS, or MSAI. If they’re aiming for more managerial roles, they might look at MBA or MSPM programs.
Totally agree with what’s been said it really depends on your background and what you’re aiming for. If you’re working in tech or something more specialized, a master’s in that exact field usually fits better and looks stronger for H1B or future green card categories. MBA can work great too, especially if you’re already in business roles or looking to move into management.
Sometime, it’s hard to find a specific master program, then MBA will be a good option as most jobs require management skills.
