How’s everyone holding up with the situation in this country? I’ve been feeling pretty demotivated with layoffs happening left and right, job market looking like crap, immigration shenanigans all over… does anyone have any recent successes they want to share? Anyone decide to give up on this immigration journey?

Man, I feel this so hard. Every time I open LinkedIn it’s just layoffs, hiring freezes, and “we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates” 
I haven’t given up yet, but I’ve definitely started looking at backup plans outside the U.S. — Canada, remote gigs, maybe grad school again (don’t judge lol).
It’s rough out here, but weirdly comforting to know we’re all going through it together.
Anyone got a win lately? Even a small one would be inspiring at this point.
Totally feeling this. It’s been such a draining time—between layoffs, the broken job market, and the constant immigration anxiety, it’s hard to stay motivated. Some days I seriously wonder if all this struggle is worth it.
But I’m still here, still pushing. A friend just got an offer after months of silence, and hearing that gave me a little hope. We may be tired, but we’re not done yet.
Not gonna lie, I think we are entering the recession soon thanks to Trump.
