Howā€™s everyone holding up with the situation in this country? Iā€™ve been feeling pretty demotivated with layoffs happening left and right, job market looking like crap, immigration shenanigans all overā€¦ does anyone have any recent successes they want to share? Anyone decide to give up on this immigration journey?

Man, I feel this so hard. Every time I open LinkedIn itā€™s just layoffs, hiring freezes, and ā€œweā€™ve decided to move forward with other candidatesā€ :upside_down_face:

I havenā€™t given up yet, but Iā€™ve definitely started looking at backup plans outside the U.S. ā€” Canada, remote gigs, maybe grad school again (donā€™t judge lol).

Itā€™s rough out here, but weirdly comforting to know weā€™re all going through it together.

Anyone got a win lately? Even a small one would be inspiring at this point.

Totally feeling this. Itā€™s been such a draining timeā€”between layoffs, the broken job market, and the constant immigration anxiety, itā€™s hard to stay motivated. Some days I seriously wonder if all this struggle is worth it.

But Iā€™m still here, still pushing. A friend just got an offer after months of silence, and hearing that gave me a little hope. We may be tired, but weā€™re not done yet.

Totally feel youā€”itā€™s been rough watching all the uncertainty unfold lately. Iā€™ve had plenty of demotivated days myself. But hanging in there one day at a time! Iā€™ve heard a few friends recently landing new jobs, which gives me a bit of hope.
