Any legit Day 1 CPT schools near Dallas?

I’m currently working full-time in Dallas on OPT, and with my OPT ending later this year, I’m seriously looking into Day 1 CPT options to stay in status while figuring out my next steps.

I’ve seen a lot of info online, but it’s hard to tell what’s real vs. outdated vs. totally sketchy.

Ideally, I’m looking for a Day 1 CPT university that’s either based in Dallas or friendly to students living here. Hoping to find something that’s:

  • Not super shady
  • Has hybrid or weekend classes I can actually manage with work
  • Reasonably affordable
  • Accredited and not on ICE’s radar (trying to keep things safe and clean :sweat_smile:)

If you’ve been through this or are currently enrolled somewhere, I’d really appreciate it if you could share:

  • How your experience has been (visa stuff, workload, SEVIS updates, etc.)
  • Whether your CPT got questioned by HR or during visa stamping
  • Any schools to avoid?

I know a lot of people in similar situations are quietly figuring this out too, so any insight would go a long way :folded_hands:

I was actually looking into Westcliff before. I heard they just opened a campus in Dallas, and some of my friends recommended it, so it might be worth considering.

Westcliff’s Dallas campus has started enrolling students, offering four programs: MBA, DBA, MSCS, and MSIT.
