Will conservative States be stricter on day1cpt?

I have friends who’s residing in places like Georgia and Alabama.

Those states for sure have less international students and the political environment is more conservative.

I’ guessing that is also why there’s no university provide students with CPT options there?

What are you guys thought?

This is a very intriguing point. I do believe most of the day 1 universities are in democratic states like the north east region and California. However, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina all have a bunch of Day 1 CPT schools. I think we also need to talk about what it means when saying these states are stricter on Day 1 CPT: do you mean they don’t typically allow day one CPT format or do you mean in general employers from the states are stricter on CPT employment? Another point is whether USCIS offices in the Conservative states are stricter. Guess we need more data to prove these points.

CPT is governed by federal regulations…not by the states…I don’t see how the states could regulate administration of FEDERAL work authorization

Idk… But I heard it’s heard for programs to get approved in states like Texas… but then at the same time so many international workers in Dallas and Houston…

I’m living in Texas and hope there is a uni here for day 1 cpt…

Ya that’s true, but I think each state also have their own education governmental department, right?

Ya true! Texas is getting more and more popular for foreign workers now.
D you live in TX? How do you like it?

Thanks for your insights! I guess I mean both sides are pretty conservative. Wither employer or universities or governmental department.
