I know that some employers are exempt from the H1B cap, who are they?

  2. Non-profit entities affiliated with higher education institutions (like university hospitals or research foundations)
  3. Non-profit research organizations
  4. Government research organizations

If you get a job offer from one of these, they can sponsor your H-1B visa any time of the year, and you’re not subject to the annual lottery system.
