What are the odds of getting selected for h1b this year?

Just curious everyone thoughts, do you think it will get higher?

Last year and the year before only 25% and less, do you think with current administration less ppl are willing to come or stay in the US?

I’m so desperate to get h1b after three years of lottery…

the selection rate becomes lower is a trend…I think it will be really similar to the previous years, around 25%

It’s hard to say there will be higher, but with Trump the denial rate might be higher, which means there’s will be a higher chance for second round lottery.

27.32% , approval rate will drop

Agreed, but the second-round lottery doesn’t change anything. The quota remains around 85,000, so the number of rounds doesn’t affect the overall odds.

My calculation.
For master cap, it would be 30-45%
For non master, it would be 22-35%
If approval rate drops due to higher rejection rate, the selection chance may further enlarge for second and following rounds…

I find this reasonable, however would probably drop down the high range for 5%
