To be honest, I think this year it’s prohibited to submit multiple applications for one person, so there probably won’t be many cases where people don’t submit their materials. It’s unlikely that there will be a second round of the lottery.

yeah been watching this closely too… heard similar numbers from a couple friends who got picked this year.
the new rule about no duplicate entries definitely helped cut down the spam, so I guess that’s why selection rates went up a bit. still not sure if second round will happen tho — last year they did it pretty late, so even if there’s one this time it probably won’t be announced till mid to late summer.
