Hi everyone, I have a little bit of knowledge when it comes to the process but what is the process of getting into the visa lottery?
This year, your employer needs to register for the lottery from 3/7 to 3/24.
Normally the result will be out around 3/31, and if you win the lottery, you will need to file your visa application before 6/30, and once it is approved, you r h-1b will be activated from 10/1.

Thank you for your help. Is the lottery only available if an employer sponsors you? Or are there other visa lotteries that you can self apply for?
hmm h-1b is sponsored by the companies, so you need to make sure you have an employer who is willing to sponsor you first.
another lottery is green card lottery, you can google it, and register by yourself. However, not all the countries are eligible for it, like me, we indian are not qualified lol
