Hi, guys. Has anybody done something like that in the past: does it complicate the RFE process when one transfers from one Day 1 CPT school to the other (for the same degree level) - more like drops out and enrolls in the new one?

It might increase the chance of receiving an RFE since you’ll need to provide more evidence to prove you’ve maintained your F1 status. But in terms of process, it’s fine—as long as you have a reasonable explanation, you should be good.
Ya, I think if you transfer between different schools, USCIS will for sure ask you to provide more evidence to prove that how you maintained your legal F1 status.
In general, transfer during study raises more questions for next immigration application
If you have a solid, documented reason for the transfer and keep your paperwork in order, you should be fine.
why drop out? I’ve heard frequent transfer is no good.
