Ok we all look for CPT programs for the reason you-know-why but I still kinda wonder how exactly is your MBA program experience?? Ideally I would still want to learn something.. Do you think it at least teach you something that might be helpful??
Or maybe a data-track? I have little data background maybe I’ll actually learn something new during the program??
Would love to connect with some current or graduated students for this!
Hey @Catlover — love the honesty
.
Quick take: Day 1 CPT MBAs are mainly built for work authorization, but if you choose wisely, you can actually learn useful stuff — especially if you go for a data track or tech concentration.
Pro tips:
Check the faculty profiles — real-world experience > random adjuncts.
Read the curriculum — look for hands-on courses (SQL, Python, analytics) if you want real skills.
Be ready to self-learn a bit — not every class will push you hard.
If you stay curious, you can absolutely walk away with more than just a degree.
